Villa Alvine

The parking had insanely expensive cars, and the villa was clean and beautiful. OMG, we finally found a good place for our Mercedes benz to park.

The location was perfect, between the beach and shopping street, and the secure parking under the building was great, though the spaces were a bit tight for big cars. We stayed in apartment nro 5 on the ground floor. Both bedrooms were large and had lots of storage, and each had an opening window. The terrace was small, but that didn’t bother us. The air conditioning was powerful enough to cool the whole apartment. Everything worked well in this high quality apartment, and the service was very helpful. A wonderful place to stay.

The location made getting around easy: the beach, the main pedestrian shopping street and Dzintari train station are all walkable. The station is about 500 meters away, and a single ticket to Riga main station costs €1.40. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including Jūra in the next building, which delivers to the apartment. Its menu is on the kitchen counter. Dens Bode, the closest supermarket, is about 1,000 meters away for basics like milk, water and juice. There’s also a big park for walks, with skateboarding ramps. The apartment complex is elegant and modern, with a reception desk open around the clock. My apartment was spotless, and it was cleaned every morning after I left. It had Bosch appliances, including a washing machine, fridge and microwave, plus AC, a spacious bedroom, a balcony door in the living room and a nice dining table with seats for six. The staff were friendly, and I assume it’s family run. My apartment’s entrance door opened onto an interior foyer.

The sea is so close, which was awesome. The hotel had everything I needed, including an iron, washing machine and dryer. It was the best hotel of the ones I’ve visited, though I don’t think it’s worth the price.
