Beds were good, and the rooms were tidy and fresh. You can help yourself to tea or coffee, though there are no snacks or drinks for sale and no shop nearby. It's not far from the city centre, so it works if you just need somewhere to sleep, but it felt deserted, with no hostel vibe or real chance to meet people. Reception was almost always unattended, and I sometimes had to wait outside for someone to let me in. I was given a different room from the one I'd reserved, and they couldn't take payment from my card, so I had to pay cash. The room itself was okay, just shared with more people than I wanted.

For the price, you get a place in Riga with a young, loud crowd. Most guests seemed to return from parties late, so a quiet night is unlikely. There are two rooms with more than 10 bunk beds each, but just one shower for both. At check-in we were told there had been a locker robbery the previous night, which made it hard to feel relaxed during our stay. Keep the limited security, even inside the lockers, in mind when booking this affordable place.

The building from the 1880s is beautiful, and the staff were extremely friendly. A bus stop is just 20m away, grocery stores are nearby, and the old town is within walking distance. A good choice if you're after affordable accommodation in a great location.

A lovely hostel in Riga's centre, in a nice old building. It works well for a few days in the city, with the old town very close by.

The rooftop had an amazing view, and the atmosphere was great. The staff were really helpful too. I enjoyed my stay, and the laundry service was handy for someone travelling constantly.
