On arrival at the Laipu apartment, I was sent over to the hotel, which is apparently in a joint venture with St. Peter's Boutique Hotel. The hotel staff said my travel agency had called to switch my booking from an apartment to a hotel room. I DO NOT EVEN HAVE AN AGENT! My flight was cancelled on the first night, and when I rang to cancel that day, they wouldn’t accept it. Fine. But clearly the hotel had given my apartment to somebody else. Ridiculous! The room also had that stale smell of old curtains and furniture. Unhappy.

The apartment was really spacious, and the accommodation is in Riga’s old town and party district. The bathroom felt a little cramped. Keep in mind that nights can get a bit loud.
