Avalon Hotel & Conferences

The room was clean and the location excellent. Dinner, when included, is served at the bar, and the food is good. But some staff were disrespectful, even aggressive, including one bartender. I ordered their brownies every day because I love them, and the portions seemed to get smaller each time. By the last dinner I expected an empty plate 😂😂. The drink included with dinner was a joke, just tap water at a 4**** hotel. From Friday through the weekend, football teams with unattended children made a lot of noise and played pranks with the elevators and other things. To me, it's a 4 **** hotel for the room, but everything else about AVALON felt like 2**.

The staff were professional and efficient, and the central location made it easy to get to the main sights and transport. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast had a great range of choices and was very good, a solid start to the day. A reliable option for quality and convenience.

The indoor garage was especially useful in -20 weather at night, and the hotel gave me more than I expected. Great value for money. The room was cute, comfortable, quiet, and felt fresh inside. Reception, restaurant, and parking staff were all friendly. The restaurant is a bit small, but the menu has a good selection and, most importantly, the food tastes good. It's been a long time since a hotel exceeded my expectations like this.

Everything was clean and tidy, and the service, breakfast, minibar, and location were all good. You're right in central Old Riga, with food shops, a shopping center, bus and railway stations just around the corner. Keep in mind there's no free parking nearby. The odd thing was the sliding bathroom door, which meant the rest of the family could clearly hear what you were doing in there.
