Greystone Suites & Apartments

Be aware that the bars underneath play loud music until 2 a.m. on weekends. Our two-bedroom apartment was on the fifth floor, with a small kitchen, washing machine, bathroom and shower. It’s in a great central spot, and breakfast was 20% off with free coffee at Ogle Restaurant below until 1 p.m. Cleanliness was average: there were dirty marks on the bed throw and bits of food on the floor. During our three-night stay, there was no daily cleaning.

The floor creaks loudly whenever someone walks, and it kept waking our five-month-old baby, which bothered everyone. Still, the view is beautiful, and the nighttime noise from the bar downstairs was tolerable. We were a family of five, and I liked the spacious place, new furniture, kitchen and toilet. It’s in a good spot inside Riga’s old town, Latvia, and check-in is self-service.

From the top-floor apartment suite, the view was amazing, and we were right in the middle of everything. The place felt safe and secure, and everything worked well. There was plenty of space, and the shower had good water pressure and heat. You could hear the Saturday night party outside from one bedroom, but the other was quieter.

A noisy apartment and a disaster of a stay. I rented one with a sofa bed, but there wasn’t one. I never got any information that breakfast was included in my hoteles.com package, and the towels smelled awful. My worst experience renting an apartment.
