We only have three nights here before heading to Tallinn, thankfully. The location also turned out to be farther from Riga's centre than it seemed in the description. I don't like posting negative comments, and I know this is a cheap hotel, but cleanliness still matters. The bathroom was filthy, the shower was broken and soaked the floor, and the TV had no remote. There weren't proper power outlets, just one in the bathroom, which may explain the lack of bedside tables. The one helpful thing was being given keys to three other rooms so we could choose one. We picked a room and asked them to wash the floor first.

We were so disappointed with this place. You can hear every noise from the hallway and through the wall, and the beds were uncomfortable, with springs digging into your back. The quality was very poor, and this hotel was the one big letdown of our trip. When we saw the breakfast, we turned around and decided not to order it :D

The staff were friendly, and taking the tram into the city was convenient. The rooms were decent for what they cost, but the Wi-Fi didn't reach the second floor and the parking situation was chaotic. The neighborhood felt like a typical student area, so summer weekend nights could get noisy.

The rooms are basic and small, but inexpensive, with a toilet, shower, and sink. It's a long walk to the old town, though public transport is close by. Reception is open around the clock, and they have cold non-alcoholic drinks.

The staff did try to help me find somewhere to park, but the parking itself was a joke. The place isn't very clean, and it feels like post-communism with a thin early-1990s veneer. I wouldn't recommend it, even at a low price.
