The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were very rude and unhelpful, and we had to ask the unfriendly receptionist for permission just to use the kettle at reception. There’s no food at the hotel, and drinks are very expensive. The second bed in our room was broken, the shower barely worked and only let out a little water, and the outdoor pool was filthy, probably never cleaned after the photo used in the hotel description was taken. Because the hotel is on the other side of the motorway, we had to pay more for a taxi from Riga centre. Avoid it if you can.

The forest setting and castle-like look make the place feel pretty spooky, almost like somewhere ghosts might hang around. Still, it was comfortable.

We arrived in heavy rain without a booking and they took us in. It’s a quiet, very cozy hotel, though not done up in an Ikea style. The airport is nearby, card payments are accepted, and the staff were friendly and spoke Russian. They also helped us book a room for half what we’d paid at the airport. Thanks so much!
