I play pool here every week, and nowhere else in Riga beats it for billiards. The equipment is professional quality, the prices are low, and the service is amazing. This is clearly a place for people who take pool, snooker, and other billiard sports seriously. Most other places have short, cheap wooden cues, but you won’t find that here.

I’d avoid this place if you can. My flight was diverted, leaving me stuck at the airport for 10 hours, but they canceled my reservation and still charged me. It felt like money was all they cared about.

The breakfast buffet was wide-ranging, and the beds were comfortable. But in the evening, only cold water came through. I’d avoid the rooms on the right-hand side of the entrance, the ones starting with numbers 4 and 5. They’re more modest than the rooms shown in the hotel photos.

Breakfast was nice, but the room left a pretty negative impression. There was someone’s hair and mold in the bathroom, and the hair dryer was dusty and covered in hair. The fridge was dirty and smelled bad, while the towels left some kind of fluff on my body after I used them. We only stayed one night and barely interacted with the staff, so I can’t really comment on the service.

The location was the one real plus: fairly close to the center, on a relatively quiet street, and with free parking. I stayed here in 2023, and the room was smelly and dirty, with old-fashioned furniture and facilities. It reminded me of the Soviet era. Breakfast was nothing special, and I barely remember it. Nothing catastrophic happened, but I was disappointed to have ended up choosing this place for my visit to Riga.
