We had a power cut one night and called the host. She seemed to blame us, even though all we were doing was sitting in front of the TV. The location is good, but the host was very rude. We asked for toilet paper early in the morning because we were leaving early, and she didn't bring any. She got angry and said, “Normal people would not text people that early,” and that she'd already given us some the day before. She'd left just two rolls for five people, and some of us had our periods. As a management student, I learned a lesson from her: a host should help guests with patience and kindness, and she didn't manage that.

The location was the one good thing. Check-in was meant to be at 15:00, but the apartment wasn't cleaned yet and we had to wait. After three hours, the owner or manager made us leave, saying we were too loud. They didn't try to find a solution, and told us to go right away. The refund they promised for what we'd paid still hasn't arrived.

We never got to stay at the property, so I can't say much about the place itself. We booked three months ahead and got confirmation that half the price had been charged, with the rest to be paid in cash on arrival. Four days before the trip, they started asking for new card details, saying there was a problem with the card. We gave them three different cards, and each time they said it didn't work. Then, just two hours before we arrived, they cancelled the booking. We had to find somewhere else urgently and were lucky to get the last room at a nearby hotel. The OTA staff were rude, caddish and unprofessional while we tried to work out what had happened. Good luck dealing with them.

The apartment is old, but Riga always feels old and golden. The location is very good, and there's a nice balcony with sun around noon.

The apartments are cozy and well located, but we couldn't check in on time. The owner was unfriendly and didn't stick to what had been agreed in writing. Groups should be careful.
