Primo Hotel

Whenever my wife and I come back to my hometown, Riga, we stay at this hotel. The staff are really good, and Edgars in particular is supportive and generous whenever I need help. Breakfast is pretty good if you like stereotypical British food. My one gripe is that I want bigger TVs. I just like them bigger 😏

The friendly staff and large, open yard made us feel at home. Our room was clean and spacious, though the toilet flush wasn't very effective. The hotel sits in a lively area with a traditional market, shops, cafes and restaurants, which is a great way to experience everyday life in Riga.

Breakfast is generous and quite tasty, and the staff are friendly. That helped leave a pleasant impression, even though the hotel feels a little worn and neglected, perhaps because renovations are underway. It's not far from central Riga. The price seemed reasonable before Christmas but less attractive after New Year's. The apartment's sofa bed was awkward to unfold and uncomfortable, and the bedroom bed and pillows weren't very comfortable either. For one night, though, it was acceptable. Parking is free, but you can't reserve a space in advance. Thank you!

The bus and tram stops are close, though the hotel isn't especially near the city center. As far as I know, the area isn't touristy, but I felt safe there. It's reasonably priced compared with other Riga hotels and good value for the money. I slept well: the room had decent space, there wasn't a noise problem, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was fine and decently equipped, though nothing luxurious. There's parking available, and the buffet breakfast was really good. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke impeccable English. I really recommend this hotel.
