Glempings Klaukas

The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and there were lots of games to bring into the tent. We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely nature getaway for a couple, and we definitely plan to come back for longer. We were a little disappointed that our tent didn’t look as lovely as it did in the photos, though we understand it’s hard to keep every tent tidy. We’d hoped for Christmas lights outside ours, but saw them outside only one tent.

I can’t recommend this. I booked through booking.com for more than 200 euro. The owner called to say the booking had to be canceled and that I’d get a refund, but the reservation was never canceled. Now the owner won’t answer calls or read messages, and the money hasn’t been returned.

It’s a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere, and with quiet neighbors it could be an OK place to spend the night. But when we booked for 5 people, we were told the season hadn’t started yet, even though the place was being offered. There were beds and bedding for only 4. We couldn’t use the heating, or nobody explained how to use it, I guess we were lucky to sleep 3 to a bed and keep warmer 😅. There was no toilet paper either. We were also asked to pay 20 Eur to arrive by car because the road crosses someone else’s land. With better care, this place has potential.

We didn’t stay. The road was in really bad shape and the grass hadn’t been cut. There was a snail in the tent, and although there were lamps, there was no electricity. It was also hard to find the place. We searched for an hour, then called the owner, who didn’t answer.
