I was at the Corinthia Tripoli Hotel for ten nights on a business trip, and it stayed comfortable from start to finish. Check-in was quick and handled professionally, and the staff were welcoming and attentive right away. The room was spotless and kept up daily. Housekeeping and room service were friendly and respectful, and the public areas and facilities also looked very well maintained. I felt secure throughout, thanks to the controlled access and professional security presence. I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel most days. There was a good range of fresh food, including salads and hot dishes, with some variety each day. Everything was prepared well and tasted fresh. The clean rooms, dependable service, good meals, and sense of safety made this a convenient place to stay for work. I enjoyed my visit and would happily return.

Dinner was the worst part. The buffet cost 450 LYD for the two of us, and it was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. Breakfast was basic too. I expected a high-end hotel, but the place felt basic. The rooms were okay, though not modern. There was no hair dryer or iron in my room, and it took ages for them to bring them. When the staff finally came, they were very hostile.

My stay at Verdi Hotel Tunis was a miserable reversal after enjoying the Corinthia Tripoli, a five-star hotel in Libya’s capital known for elegance and smooth service. This experience badly shook my trust in the brand. I saw manager Mohamed Ali Jlaeil visibly intoxicated while in charge of the premises. I also heard many staff members share their distress with me during my stay. They described being subjected to his repeated curses, and the atmosphere sounded deeply toxic. That ruined the calm, luxurious Corinthia experience I had expected. I believe these problems are damaging Corinthia’s reputation. The group’s senior leaders should investigate what’s happening and make immediate changes at Verdi Hotel Tunis. Unless there are clear improvements, I can’t endorse this property, and I’ll be wary of future Corinthia stays.
