The location makes this feel like a pretty standard hotel. It was a bit of a trek uphill to town and the restaurants, so not really an easy walk. The staff were friendly enough, though nothing especially memorable. The building and rooms were nice, and there wasn't anything specific to complain about. Several budget bus tours were staying there too, which seemed to fit the place.

The food was a letdown, especially breakfast, which was among the worst I've had. Dinner wasn't great either. I only stayed because I had to, and then someone from housekeeping tried to come into my room at 8:30am.

The grounds are lovely, but inside, the facilities felt outdated and dirty. I was glad my stay was just one night.

The grounds were very pretty, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. The bathroom was in terrible shape: the shower was very dirty and barely put out any water. Our room also badly needed updating and felt extremely dated. We were promised a balcony, fridge, and hair dryer for our one-night stay on 21/09/25 during a Morocco tour, but none were there. When we told the front desk, they offered us a hair dryer. Dinner at the restaurant turned into a scramble for the buffet, and breakfast was so meagre we hardly ate anything.

It's got a faded-glory feel and clearly isn't well maintained, so you have to overlook that. Still, there was plenty of hot water, the food was great, the pool was heated, and the surroundings were peaceful. It feels like you’re in Marakech, rather than in some sterile, nondescript hotel. For me, it’s worth it.
