Anezi Tower Hotel

The porters, housekeepers, doormen, breakfast staff and people working at the tour shop and spa were kind, helpful and welcoming. They made a very good impression. Reception was another story. The staff seemed distant and unfriendly, as though welcoming guests was a favor. Whatever the reason, it made a poor first impression that the hotel should address. I also found the rooms and apartments disappointing. There was a musty smell and I encountered cockroaches. I had to switch apartments twice. The location is decent, but for the price the stay didn’t feel justified, especially after realizing I could have stayed at better hotels for less. Some staff provided excellent service, but reception and room quality need significant improvement.

The dirt was honestly disgusting: old limescale on bathroom fixtures, filthy tiles, webs in the corners, grime everywhere, and factory stickers still stuck on toilets under all that dirt. It felt like a neglected building falling apart. The place came across as cheap, dirty and badly run, with no regard for guests. Reception was a mess too. Staff seemed unable to make even a small decision without checking with their rude manager, who struck me as arrogant, unpleasant and overwhelmed. The timekeeping was just as bad. I waited for a room key without any sense that the staff cared about guests’ plans or flights. If you expect punctuality, professionalism or efficiency, don’t count on it here. I only stayed because I had no choice on an organized trip. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed, and anyone thinking of booking voluntarily should think again unless poor hygiene, wasted time and dreadful service sound acceptable.

The staff really made the stay: receptionists, waiters and cleaners were friendly and professional, even handling rude customers respectfully. The location’s great, just a short walk to the beach, a shop or an exchange office. Since the hotel is the tallest building in the area, I guess the views from all rooms are good. The restaurant also looks out toward the beach and mountain while you eat. Breakfast and dinner had a good range, and the food was fresh and high quality. There was pizza every evening, which families with kids will appreciate. Our room was clean and comfortable, though the furniture could use an upgrade and the place needs some renovation. I saw that several floors are being modernized, so maybe my comment will soon be outdated. For restaurants nearby, I can recommend Le Vendôme. The closest exchange office is marked on the picture, and there are shops around too, cheaper than the Superette. It’s a clean, kid-friendly hotel with tasty meals and exceptional service.

The room was a decent size and had AC and a fridge, but no iron. I asked several times for a kettle and never got one, which seems basic for a hotel calling itself four-star. The only staff I found nice were security. Housekeeping was poor. Our room wasn’t cleaned half the time, and when it was, we were left without toilet roll or towels and had to ask more than once. Most staff were rude. They also charged my friend to hold her luggage while we waited for a midnight flight. I’ve never been charged for hotel luggage storage anywhere I’ve travelled. If you’re only coming and going, you might be fine. If you want more from your hotel and polite staff, this isn’t it. Hotels with fewer stars along the strip are much better. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
