The location is a real plus, handy for restaurants and the beach. There are plenty of staff and everything was very clean. Dinner had a reasonable range of choices, while breakfast covered the usual options plus freshly made pancakes and omelettes. Fresh juices and very good mint tea were included. One drawback: some bedrooms don’t have an outside window, which brought it down a point for me.

The gardens were lovely, the pools were nice though unheated, and the staff were polite and professional. Breakfast was good too. We paid extra for a pool-view room and got one, with most rooms of that type also looking out to sea and the hilltop Casbah. Ours had recently been refreshed and seemed one of the better rooms. There was a balcony, but it was only just big enough to stand on, with no room for furniture or sitting. It was a pleasant hotel for the price, and it delivered what I’d expect from a Moroccan four-star. Unfortunately, the mattress was awful, like lying on a slab of marble. The on-site laundry equipment made a huge racket and vibrated the building morning, noon and night, so sleeping in or turning in early was impossible. We were exhausted from the bed and noise, and couldn’t wait to get home for proper sleep.

The location was peaceful, with the beach and nearby places to eat within walking distance. Staff were friendly and keen to help, and the room was cleaned daily with fresh linen and towels. Our balcony was barely more than standing room, but we could see the sea one way and the mountains the other. Breakfast had a good range of food. The bar and cafe area were being upgraded during my visit, and I hope they update the shower rooms too. The bathroom showed wear, with mould on the shower screen and rust around the mirror edges. There wasn’t a kettle in the room, and it would be good if they started providing one.

The street outside was the worst part of our two-week stay. We were put in a room facing it and never got a decent night’s sleep. It stayed noisy all night with people talking, cars coming and going, doors banging, horns and revving motorbikes, sometimes until 5:30am. I asked reception to move us, but they weren’t helpful and said the hotel was full. It’s a shame holiday companies don’t show the hotel’s frontage, because seeing that road would have put me off booking. The hotel feels dated and needs refurbishment. The bathroom needed work, the sink and shower taps were covered in limescale, and the shower screen had mould. Towels were changed daily, but every one was frayed, and some had holes. In our double room, the tea setup was just a kettle and one small cup, with no tea, coffee, milk or sugar. Breakfast was poor as well. A few times I had to ask for cups and spoons. For three days running they had no sliced bread for toast; staff said it would be available the next day, but it never was. Orange juice and milk also ran out a few times, and we had to wait for more. It wasn’t an enjoyable breakfast experience. I can’t see how this is rated four stars when other four-star hotels on the beachfront are worlds apart. It felt like two stars at best, maybe two-plus, yet we still had to pay four-star tourist tax. We won’t come back and wouldn’t recommend it.

Tildi hotel was affordable, and the location made it easy to get around. There’s a supermarket next door, cable carts just around the corner, and the beach, restaurants and harbour a short way down the road. We stayed for a few nights from December 14, 2025. Our room was spacious, had plenty of storage and a nice view, as well as a fridge and air conditioning. The walls were thin, and the double bed was two singles pushed together, but I still slept well. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, which helped make our first visit to Morocco feel comfortable. I’d recommend it, especially if you don’t expect to spend most of your holiday at the hotel like you might at an all-inclusive resort.
