Hotel Riu Tikida Garden - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The food selection was good, and the hotel was clean and spacious. The staff were amazing. I was surprised that every room had single beds rather than a double, but it was okay. The à la carte meal didn’t agree with us. Service was excellent, but the beef affected us badly and we spent a day confined to our room.

We only arrived last night, so we’re still figuring the place out. The hotel has a relaxed, chilled feel, and being adults-only helps. The little pool by the pool bar has a lovely vibe, with people relaxing in the water and having drinks. There’s a good mix of younger and older guests enjoying the sun. The food has been good so far, and of the drinks we’ve tried, the Mojito tastes best.

Hotel Riu Tikida Garden is in the La Palmeraie area, some distance from Marrakech’s historic center, and is described as a four-star, adults-only (18+) all-inclusive resort. Its partnership brings together the Moroccan Tikida Group and the international RIU Hotels & Resorts chain. The adult-only setup is intended to support a quieter, more relaxing stay. The hotel’s official information describes equipped rooms with standard modern amenities, outdoor and indoor pools, Tikida Spa, and areas for sports and entertainment. Dining includes a main buffet with live cooking stations, specialty restaurants, and several bars. These facilities and services reflect an all-inclusive resort offering accommodation, leisure, and dining in line with the hotel’s four-star classification.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was always clean, but that’s the only good I can say about our week there with friends. The food was awful, including at the Culinarium, which is meant to be the luxury restaurant. They forgot our whole table’s order, then brought the wrong dishes. After eating there, three of the five of us spent days in our rooms with sickness and diarrhoea. We couldn’t eat at the hotel after that and ate elsewhere for our final three days, despite being all-inclusive. It cost us extra, and the hotel felt like a waste of money. We had also paid £340 through the Tui rep for a hot air balloon trip, but two of us were too ill to go. When we raised it with the “manager,” he didn’t seem bothered either about the three of us being sick or about losing money on an excursion we couldn’t take because of the hotel food. The pool bar was terrible too, with wasps and flies on the cups and drink machines. Our air conditioning wasn’t working in 38-degree heat. We reported it, but nothing was done. I’d never return.
