Hotel Kasbah Oulad Othmane

We came on motorcycles and arrived within hours, but this place was built for camel trains that had travelled for months, carrying goods traded in timbuktu. Staying in an Authentic Kasbah means stepping back several hundred years. That's what made it a jewel for us.

We were there as a sand storm began, followed by a thunderstorm. Huddling with the other guests in a warm, cozy second-floor area while the staff brought us all tea was really special. The hotel feels like a double kasbah and has a small pool. The food was very nice too. The owner can be a bit officious, which is a bore, and speaks a lot about topics from a position of privilege. Still, top marks for the place!

The food was a real highlight, with freshly prepared meals full of flavor, lovely breakfasts, and delicious dinners that gave us a true taste of Morocco. We also found the rooms beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style, spotless, and very comfortable. Heating worked perfectly and there was always hot water, a luxury after a long day exploring. Every detail seemed thought through, making the stay feel authentic and relaxing. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine. The staff were kind and attentive, helped with recommendations and transport, and shared stories with us. This guesthouse gave us one of the best travel experiences I've had. If you want Moroccan hospitality, comfort, and an authentic stay, I can't recommend it enough. It felt like a dream.

The view over the palm-filled valley is incredible, and getting to stay in a true Kasbah feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Kasbah Oulad Othmane is wonderfully authentic, and the owners and staff are so kind I'd definitely return. Excellent food and unbeatable value for money too.
