eden suites

The room looked beautiful in the photos, so we booked this place for our anniversary. What we found was deeply disappointing, and we left straight away. Getting there meant driving along a long, muddy track beside a stream. It had big holes, deep puddles, and obstacles, and felt dangerous. When we arrived, nobody seemed to be expecting us. A confused man who didn't speak English appeared, while several large dogs barked aggressively around us. We felt so uneasy we didn't want to get out of the car. A woman eventually came over with a towel still on her head and also seemed unaware of our booking. They copied our passports, then the man showed us towards the room. Decorators were working along the way, and the property didn't seem ready for guests. Even the sun loungers had no cushions. The room was unacceptable: the bathroom had no door, the sink was visibly dirty, the rubbish bin was full, and the bath mat was wet and clearly used. There weren't any towels either. We cancelled and left immediately. Later, we asked Booking.com for a refund, but the host refused to pay anything. Our account said cancelling would mean losing only the first night's £61 charge. This ruined what was meant to be a special, memorable anniversary trip. We'd strongly advise other people to avoid this property.

The pool and terrace have superb views, and the whole place has a relaxing feel. The setting is enchanting, the staff are incredibly helpful, and every detail at The Eden Suite seems carefully considered. Big thanks to the team for such a magical stay.

We hope to come back very soon after such an unforgettable stay. Eden Suite is a peaceful, authentic gem, with delicious breakfast made from local products and impeccable service. Huge thanks for a fantastic time.

It took us ages to find the hotel. It's nowhere to be found, but it's great.
