Mohammad made us feel at home straight away. The freshly made Berber breakfast and dinner were delicious, too. A lovely hostel and a great base for visiting the Dades Valley. I’d definitely recommend it.

Mohamed was a brilliant host and guide. He showed us interesting spots around the Dades Valley and suggested good places to stay elsewhere, like the Todra Valley, as well as an agency for a Sahara trip. Everything he said he would arrange came through. The hostel is in a lovely old village house, well placed for walks in the valley. The staff were friendly and the traditional food was excellent.

This traditional Berber guesthouse is a comfortable, pleasant spot in the middle of Ait Ali village, about 5 km from the Dades Gorges. Just remember to arrange your meals before you arrive.

We got there after dark and were greeted with huge smiles, a steaming shower, and the best tajine. Such a cosy, atmospheric place to slow down, with really lovely hospitality.

Mohammad made us feel right at home. We tried making Tajine and watched the stars from the terrace. A lovely place to unwind before heading to the Sahara.
