TAFSUT Guesthouse Stay with locals

The accommodation itself was quite nice, which makes the rest a real shame. I felt uncomfortable with Ilias (the owner). He seemed not to realize how pushy he was when talking to us, and brought up subjects that felt inappropriate. My instincts told me to leave, so we cut our stay short. I’ve never felt like that at another place I’ve stayed. The food, which others describe as fantastic, was bland. It wasn’t bad, but it was the worst Moroccan food we had on our holiday. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially for women traveling alone.

The hike to the monkeyfingers gorge starts right here. The route also goes through the green valley and along the river. We had a lovely dinner and a nice room with good beds.

That terrace has a beautiful view, and the location is great for getting to the monkey fingers canyon. The room itself was okay, but the bed felt like a wooden table. I woke up even more tired than before, so not much of a good night's sleep.

I felt at home here and really well looked after. The host was welcoming and very kind, and I appreciated his hospitality. The guest house was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. I had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone after a friendly, pleasant place.
