The dogs here bit my mother while we were just walking to the beach. The hotel denied that they were its dogs, and the older man there wouldn’t explain how they had gotten into the hotel yard. We had to find a hospital on our own. It felt dangerous, and I don’t think the hotel takes tourists’ safety seriously. I hope it closes for good.

Our room had a nice view and balcony, but it was really dirty, including a bathroom that hadn’t been cleaned. We visited at the end of September, after the busy season, and the hotel was empty. The staff seemed unmotivated, as if our being there annoyed them. Breakfast was included, but there was hardly anything to eat. The server said the kitchen kept things to a bare minimum that late in the season. The coffee was awful.

Such a lovely beach, but it’s very dirty and poorly looked after. A real shame.

The view over beautiful Matadero beach was lovely, and breakfast was included. We had our own terrace, a clean room, a comfortable bed, and a quiet stay. The service and staff were great. Good luck, and thanks for everything.

The bathroom smelled strongly of urine, and the smell reached the room too. The air conditioning didn’t work, so it gets extremely hot in summer.
