Dar Kantzaro is a beautiful villa with well kept grounds, and Nawel, the manager, took wonderful care of us. She helped arrange taxis to and from the medina, restaurants, and city sights, as well as looking after us while we relaxed at the villa. It’s only a short taxi ride from the medina, so you can enjoy Marrakech and then return to a peaceful oasis. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the city.

It’s about 10 miles out of the city, and the hotel saved our trip. It’s also quite hard to find. Marrakech was awful to me. I wouldn’t recommend visiting: I found people of all ages trying to con money out of us, and even a ‘holy man’ kicked my son’s push chair after it touched him slightly. I can’t say enough negative things about the place. It felt like hell. The hotel was a welcome escape.

The garden is nice, but the building was a letdown. We had no electricity for a whole day, there was no iron, and breakfast was awful. It’s hard to understand how this is called a 5 star hotel. It felt more like 2 stars, and it’s very basic. The place is in the middle of nowhere and almost impossible to find the first time. Google Maps sent us the wrong way.

A hidden gem. The rooms are spacious, lovely, and clean, and the whole place is quiet and peaceful because it’s about 30 minutes from Marrakech. Naima leads a very friendly team, and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent service.

The staff were very rude, the rooms dirty, and the hotel taxis really expensive. The hotel is in a deserted spot, and you have to walk through a long, dark alleyway to reach it, so you can’t get another taxi. Marrakech is a nice place to visit, but this hotel is not.
