Manzal Lahbab

I was on my own and felt amazingly well looked after. There was always a host onsite or just a WhatsApp message away, including when a taxi had trouble finding the place. The chef carefully accommodated my several food allergies, and the local dishes were fantastic. It’s a very quiet spot, a little out of town, but getting into town was easy with the InDrive app. I had a wonderful stay as a solo female traveller.

The food was divine. I finished every meal, and the chicken with raisins was incredible, my favorite. Our host was kind and always around with tea or answers to our questions, and the service was great. I also got to meet the owners, who made me feel like part of the family. We began our Marrakech trip here, and after all the travel it was just the place to relax and recharge. The Médina can be hectic and crowded, so having a quiet retreat was a big plus. Our room was private, peaceful, and stunning. I hope to come back whenever I’m in Marrakech!

After a few days in the old Medina, the smoke and noise had become too much, so we moved to Manzal Lahbab hotel and immediately found some calm. It’s only about 14 minutes by car from the center, and even without a car, getting around was easy. Idris gave us the number for Hamid, a taxi driver who took us everywhere, even on short trips. There’s parking if you drive. The staff were honest and sweet, and nothing seemed too difficult. The property is full of olive trees and plants, with a little garden to see each morning. The clean, well-kept pool has plenty of sunbeds. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It’s an underrated place outside the city center, and left us feeling calm after the bustle of Marrakesh.

A quiet little paradise to recover from the lively Médina. The food is really good, and the staff are flexible and helpful with all our different requests. Special thanks to Idriss, who took great care of us.
