Dar Manara

The walk from the parking outside the walls to Dar Manara was short and easy with my bags. Cars can’t enter the Medina, but it’s a small area. The hotel itself is lovely, with charming, authentic decor that’s stylish without being kitschy. My room was lovely, with a spotless ensuite and a great shower 🤗. The rooftop has covered seating, and the ground-floor breakfast room and common area are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. It’s on a quiet, clean, safe street, close to the activity in the Medina of Asilah.

Ashraf did everything he could to make me comfortable. He helped dry my rain-soaked clothes, let me switch rooms for a better view, and adjusted breakfast timing. It’s a very clean, characterful place in Asilah’s tiny, charming Medina, exactly a four-minute walk from the parking as promised. I liked it a lot and would choose it again. It was also a perfect base for taking the ferry to Spain.

Said gave us such a warm welcome, and the other staff were kind and helpful too. The beautiful riad was clean and comfortable, right inside the old medina. They even tailored breakfast to our requests. You all made our stay in Asilah a great one 🥰

The staff are lovely, helpful, and really dedicated. Rooms are spotless, and they’re made up every day, which you don’t see everywhere. The riad is decorated with a lot of taste and attention to detail. I’d recommend breakfast there too, with freshly squeezed orange juice, tea or coffee, omelettes, and Moroccan specialties.
