The rooftop was a favorite spot, with lovely views and room to read or sit and talk. We also enjoyed the birdsong and the pleasant breakfast. Though Riad Irene sits right in the busy market, it was calm and quiet once inside. The decor was beautiful, and our room was cozy, distinctive, and had AC. We felt safe leaving our belongings there during the day. Finding the entrance can take a moment. Look for the sign in the market paths, turn down that alley, then go straight to the first right. The black front door will be on your left. Its doorbell is mounted high beside it. Muhammad welcomed us with mint tea as soon as we arrived and was kind and ready to help. The riad is a one-minute walk from food and market stalls. We highly recommend it.

The room was spotless, and the riad itself was lovely and peaceful, with a nice rooftop seating area. We had a light breakfast with tea, and the staff were happy to help with anything we needed. Mohammad met our driver and guided us through the market to the riad, which would have been hard to find on our own the first time. He also gave us good recommendations and a quick introduction to Marrakech old town. It’s conveniently located in the old town, where most places are reachable on foot. We’d stay again.

The rooms were clean and very nice, and the souk is within walking distance. What stood out most was how caring the manager was. He seemed to be available at any hour and personally made sure guests got to and from the taxi stand, even for a midnight arrival or a 3am departure. Before my early departure, he checked that I was awake and gave me breakfast, which I hadn’t expected. I had a very good stay at Riad Irhalne.

Thanks to Sahara Desert Crew for arranging our two-night stay at this Riad. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the famous square, with lots of restaurants and shops close by. The decor is lovely, and the place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too. I’d recommend it for a Marrakech visit.
