Riad Oasis d'Asilah

Beautifully decorated and cared for, this is a charming, artistic place to stay in Asilah, close to the beach. The service was great, and the team helped with everything needed to relax for a few days. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely bit of hospitality.

We loved the tropical courtyard and the beautiful, original furnishings. The staff were so attentive and willing to do anything for us. Villasila feels like a real oasis in Asilah, and we'd happily recommend it.

The shared spaces are lovely, especially the rooftop garden, pool, and spa. The hammam and massage were divine, and we had a pleasant stay, but the rooms let us down. They were so small there was barely room to walk around the bed, the shower flooded the rest of the bathroom, and the plumbing felt outdated. Staff tried hard to help, though service was uneven when they seemed overwhelmed. Breakfast also fell short of what some reviews had led us to expect: just a few breads and jam, orange juice, coffee, and a plain egg omelette on request. It may have changed. It's the best riad in town, but the room comfort doesn't match high-end riads in larger cities.

We'd definitely come back. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, and there were three turtles and a big cat around too! This extraordinary riad is tucked into the medina of asilah, with lots of cosy corners to sit and relax, a lovely rooftop terrace, and a small but wonderful pool. The two so-called good ghosts, mohamed and kahlid, seemed to anticipate everyone's wishes. All the best from us!
