Motel Opéra Azrou

The tagine was some of the tastiest around, and the view from Opera Hotel in Azrou is one of the best in the area. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it for a memorable stay.

The receptionist was friendly, towels were provided, and the hotel is close to central Azrou, on the road to Meknes, with a gas station nearby. It offers meals and breakfast, though we didn't try them. The place could give thrill-seekers a quick immersion in Psycho or The Shining. But the mattress sagged, there were no trash cans anywhere on the floor, and there was no soap at the sink. The shared toilet was tiny, and its door barely opened. Everything felt rickety and neglected. We didn't shower because the showerhead was broken. At 180 dirhams for a room with two single beds, it wasn't worth it compared with other hotels. It was extremely noisy too. Around ten people arrived at 3:30 am, talked loudly in the hallway, moved furniture, and made an unbelievable mess until 4:30. We thought it was a prank. This is really only a last resort. I told the receptionist about the infernal noise, and he apologized for the inconvenience the next day. I'm posting the photos so they can do something about it, if they're willing.

The hotel was dirty and lacked cleanliness, and there were no towels or soap in the bathroom. They didn't provide breakfast either. I paid 1200 dirhams for two dirty rooms, an extremely high price. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

We asked for Colacao to warm up, and they brought it to our room. The milk was really good. We also asked for another blanket, and they brought a portable radiator too. The room for four cost 60dh and had its own bathroom.
