Grotte Thami

The food was good and came in generous portions. We wanted to finish it, but couldn't. The hosts felt down to earth and welcoming, with helpful, genuine hospitality and no tourist-trap atmosphere. Getting there was easy: we drove right up and parked about 15 metres from the entrance. Inside, the cave goes deep and is quiet in a way that really shuts out the world. It felt raw and authentic, but wasn't damp or cramped as some reviews say. It was naturally cool and surprisingly comfortable, especially with the humidifier running. There was no foot traffic, no crowds, and no staged experience, just the cave and the quiet. If you're after polish and carefully arranged perfection, this may not suit you. For something real, quiet, untouched, and one of a kind, Grottes Thami offers a unique experience.

The hosts were kind, accommodating, understanding, and easygoing. If you need something, they'll get it for you. The food was excellent and plentiful, especially for what we paid and compared with other options nearby. We couldn't finish it, though we wanted to. As cave stays go, this was one of a kind. It goes deep and feels immersive, as if you're cut off from the outside world. The cave wasn't as damp as some people said, and it felt quite cool as long as the humidifier was on. Just remember, it's a cave, not a panoramic jungle lodge with a constant breeze and sunlight streaming in. If that doesn't suit you, don't come.

Dinner and breakfast with Thami are what I'd recommend most. His wife cooked an amazing spread, and it was so delicious we finished it all. Breakfast was unbeatable too. We spent one night in grotte Thami, and it was amazing. We weren't sure where to park when we arrived, but thami helped right away. We were welcomed with Moroccan tea and cookies, had a nice conversation, then got shown to our beautiful cave, which we had to ourselves. Being far from everything and the only tourists there was really nice. It's a beautiful, unforgettable place, and I can't recommend it enough.

Mr Thami was a great host. He took care of every request and showed us some places we wanted to visit. We loved being off the beaten track and not seeing other tourists. We spent two nights in the cave house, which was all for the three of us. It has four beds upstairs, plus one bedroom and a large living area downstairs. The bathroom and toilet are downstairs too. Moroccan paraphernalia decorates the whole cave. It was a very unique stay.
