Hotel Colisee

The only decent part was breakfast. It wasn't anything special, but it was okay. The room was dirty, there was only one towel, the shampoo had been used, and the bed linens smelled bad. We found lots of ants on the floor, and water was standing in the shower, making it impossible to shower properly. They tried to charge us 500 MAD, even though Google and Booking listed the price as 290 MAD.

The breakfast was good, but that was about the only positive. The hotel is very close to downtown, yet I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms were tiny, gloomy, and dirty. I found hair and ants in the bed, and the bathroom was awful. The toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned, and there was urine in them. Way too expensive for what you get. This place is seriously a joke.

The location is a big plus. From here you can get around Casablanca easily, and there are food and drink spots, markets, and other places beside Colisee Hotel. I checked in on my own and had a comfortable single room that suited my needs. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. It’s what you’d expect from a three-star hotel, with a little extra, which is why I gave it four stars.

I’ve been in Morocco for a month, and even hotels that looked worse than this one had no insects. Here, cockroaches showed up in my bedroom. I went down to reception, and an older man asked if I’d left the window open. I hadn’t. At first I thought there was just one, then another appeared, and now I’m scared to sleep. They really should refund my money.
