Le Ma Ridien Casablanca

The staff were kind and welcoming, and the hotel is new, modern, and has good tech. I liked that it has a pool and gym. Since it's newly opened, I can imagine some of these small details will fall into place over time. Our room, number 406, had frustrating light wiring: one switch seemed to control all the lights, so turning one off shut everything off, including the bathroom light. The bedside reading lamps couldn't be used without the ceiling lights, which made the lighting pretty useless at night. The rooms themselves are comfortable and modern, but not having robes also took away from the experience. Getting a towel and robe for the pool was a hassle. There were only two towels, already being used by a couple, and nobody was attending the spa area, so I had to ask at the lobby. The man there kindly got them and walked with me to collect them. Check-in was another letdown, since nobody told me about the pool, gym, or breakfast until I asked. The location wasn't ideal for us either: there's not much around the hotel, and the area and views aren't great.
