Hotel Les Ambassadeurs

The biggest concern was security outside. My car was parked in front of Hotel Les Ambassadeurs, and someone broke into it and stole my belongings. There seemed to be no surveillance, and staff didn’t react. The accommodation itself was quite ordinary, nothing special. I strongly advise travelers who care about their safety and belongings to avoid this place.

The staff were very friendly and tried to help, but seemed limited by the facilities the hotel had. There were no coffee or tea facilities in the room, and the TV didn’t work. The refrigerator did. Furnishings were sparse: a bed, one chair, a table, and a safe. Outside, the view was of a pigeon-covered roof, complete with droppings. Half the shower door was missing, so the bathroom floor got soaked. Breakfast was pastries, rolls, cheese spread, olives, salad, and melon, with coffee and Moroccan tea. There were tea bags too, but no hot water. We checked the hotel website last night, and it shows lots of facilities. The restaurant on the sixth floor seemed to be breakfast-only, as far as we could tell. We couldn’t see the other facilities at all.

Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere. The room looked nothing like the pictures online, which suggested somewhere modern, clean, and comfortable. In reality, hotel les ambassadeurs was outdated and poorly maintained, without the charm or amenities advertised. The hygiene was awful. The sheets looked as if the previous guest had slept in them, with wrinkles, visible stains, and hair. No towels were provided at first, and the ones we got after asking were threadbare and barely usable. There was a foul smell as soon as I entered, musty and hard to identify, and the room felt dirty and uncomfortable from the start. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. The lack of basic necessities, poor cleanliness, and misleading pictures made it unacceptable. I strongly advise against staying here. One star is already too generous. Stay away!

I booked this hotel days ahead, but after my plane landed last night, they canceled the reservation without explanation while I was in a taxi on the way there. I messaged and called, but got no reply either way. Left out in the cold with nowhere to go, I had to find another hotel. In the morning I saw they’d still charged my credit card for two nights, even though I never stayed there. I contacted Booking to report what happened, and I won’t let this go. Disgusting hotel. Never stay there.
