Right in the souq, this small owner-managed hotel made a lovely base in Chefchaouen's medina. It's very central yet surprisingly quiet, and with only 7 rooms the atmosphere felt relaxed and personal. Our bright deluxe room was beautifully designed and welcoming, and the bed and mattress were just right for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was fresh, regional, and more than enough, with excellent coffee and lots of care in the details. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel at home. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, with a fantastic view over the medina and surrounding area. A comfortable, authentic choice for couples, solo travelers, or small groups. Highly recommended!

The rooms were quiet and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful with everything. It's a very nice Dar for a stay in Chefchaouan, and I'd happily come back. Breakfast was the one downside: mostly coffee and toast with jam, which felt more like a B&B, though maybe that's the Moroccan style.

The rooftop is good, and the location is convenient. The rooms were just so-so, though clean. The manager removed the sofa from our room without asking us, and breakfast was poor: jam, regular white cheese, and a Nescafé :)

Post-covid review: The staff were friendly and nice, and made the place feel like a small family. The terrace has beautiful views, and both the rooms and washroom were clean. It was what I expected, and I'd highly recommend it over many other hotels and riads.

The rooftop terrace was terrific for watching the sunset. The staff also helped us with walks in the national park and other visit details. We got mint tea when we arrived and could ask for more, and breakfast was good. They can prepare dinner too, an option some guests chose and recommended. We found the place in Lonely Planet and were glad we picked it over some pricier options. It's easy to reach from the Medina gate, and the staff helped us figure out parking and carry our bags.
