Hotel Abi khancha

The old town location puts you close to the shops and the Kazbar area, and the roof terrace and garden have fantastic views over the village. They’re great places to unwind. It’s secure, and I’d recommend it if you’re on a budget. The room was kept really clean. They change the bedding, bring fresh towels, and make you tea. The staff make sure you feel welcome and looked after. It’s comfortable, the price is very good, and there’s hot water in all the rooms. Had a great day here.

Only small snag was that the shower sometimes lost its hot water for a little while. Otherwise, everything was clean, fresh, and looked after. The location is excellent and the price is great for what you get. Reception welcomed us with hot tea and helpful advice about this paradise city.

The rooms are a little small, but they’re fine if you’re mainly using them to sleep. I liked the traditional Moroccan furniture, which gives the place a nice touch. There’s also a pleasant roof terrace for relaxing, and the location is right in the centre.

There’s a mosque right next to the hotel, so you do hear its regular chanting. That may bother some people, though it’s hard to avoid those sounds in Morocco. Apart from that, I had a very positive stay and am grateful to everyone working there. The hotel is super clean, and the staff are very friendly and speak several languages. It’s a quiet, safe place at the bottom of Chauen’s medina, with a lovely terrace on the top floor of the three-storey building.
