Hotel Parador

The views deserve a star, but most of all I’m grateful to the woman who cleaned my room. She handled everything with so much care and responsibility, and even organized my clothes in a way that made it feel as if my mother had done it. Thank you to her 🙏🏻. The old furniture, noisy doors and overpriced stay are why I only gave the hotel two stars.

We stayed here on a group tour of Morocco, and I’d strongly suggest choosing somewhere else. The location is close to the main square, and the showers are at least somewhat spacious. But the pool was drained as of yesterday, the rooms were dirty, and the breakfast buffet was a mess. Sadly, there are hardly any other highlights.

It was clean, but the place feels very old. I don’t mean the traditional decor. They also need to improve the breakfast buffet.

The location was great, but I can’t understand how this place has a four-star rating. The rooms are old and outdated, with no recent improvements. Reception staff seemed sullen and barely willing to get out of their seats. In the dining room, the waiters were busy making mint tea and chatting by the kitchen door instead of helping guests. It felt very unprofessional. I picked up a plate and found a squashed silverfish on the one underneath. I left the plate on the food table for staff to see, but it was still there when I finished eating, which says a lot about the lack of quality control. We repeatedly had to ask for plates, cutlery, cups, teaspoons, drinks and hot water. Staff weren’t keeping an eye on what needed replenishing. The cleaning staff were polite, smiled and spoke with us. Reception and dining staff need customer service training.
