When we came back after checking out and visiting the medina, we sat outside to rest. They kindly brought us Moroccan tea and cake, and were friendly the whole time. My father and I were cycling, and they were welcoming, helpful, generous, and kind throughout. The room was cute, with medium-sized windows that kept it from getting too hot. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the medina, with little shops, sandwich bars, and a bakery nearby. I loved it and would definitely recommend it.

This was the dirtiest hotel in Morocco. The air conditioning cost extra, and our room smelled terribly of the toilet. Even the man who gave us the keys admitted it. We changed rooms, but found loads of disgusting hairs on the sheet, feces, and a bed that simply stank. When we asked to change it, the older man at reception got angry because it was late and said he couldn’t help, looking at us impatiently. In the end, we found a blanket in the wardrobe, put it on the bed, and slept on it. The carpets looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. There was no hot water, and there were lots of hairs on the bathroom soaps. The view from our window was the wall of the opposite building, just 50 cm away. Better to sleep in the car than there.
