Alhambra Ryad & Spa

The breakfast stood out among the Riads we stayed at in Morocco. There was a good range of food, and the bread and eggs were freshly cooked and filling. Riad Alhambra was comfortable and the room was clean, though a little smaller than rooms at some of the other places we stayed. Check-in was smooth.

The terrace was a highlight, especially the enclosed one where we could enjoy the mountain views in winter. Breakfast was perfect, and the rooms, though small, were clean, nicely renovated, and the AC came in handy on rainy days. The staff met us at the parking area and carried our luggage. Since we arrived late, they even put together a night snack when we asked. We’ll definitely come back 🤍

Breakfast on the rooftop at sunrise was lovely, and our room had a picturesque little balcony overlooking the inner courtyard. The hosts were warm and gracious, and there was nice hot water in the bathroom. Getting to the riad means climbing a steep flight of steps, which could be hard for people with disabilities, and there’s no lift inside. Aside from that, it was a beautiful experience.

The staff made our stay feel special, and the chef who served us was so kind. He cooked a wonderful dinner and breakfast. Omar deserves a special mention: he carried our bags up and down and even went out of his way to help us buy bus tickets when he was off shift. Our room was comfortable and clean, with a very hot shower and great water pressure. The rooftop has lovely views across the city. Riad Alhambra is a lovely place to stay in Chefchaouen, and we’d definitely return on our next visit.
