Bavaro Beach Hotel

Karim made our move from another hotel so easy after a big disappointment there, and helped make our stay genuinely relaxing. The staff were all incredibly helpful. We had everything we needed, including lovely rooms and our own beach with beautiful views. We had an amazing time last week and will be back soon. Thank you 🙏

The shuttle fare was a shock: I was quoted €30 for a five-minute drive. After I posted about it on Facebook, locals offered to do the same trip for half that amount. The toilet also had no bidet spray, and flies in the breakfast area were annoying. Still, I enjoyed my stay overall. The 65 m² suite was spacious and cozy, with dim lighting and lovely African-inspired decor throughout, from the entrance to the living room and bedroom. There were plenty of TV channels in English, Arabic, and French, and the staff were kind and attentive. I’d recommend the hotel, especially if you like a distinctive atmosphere, though better shuttle pricing and attention to those amenities would improve the experience.

The private, quiet beach was the one good thing about this hotel. The staff were also lovely with our toddler. But the service was poor, and prices were very high for simple things. We waited over an hour for basic, expensive dishes, especially when the manager’s friends and family were visiting and seemed to take priority. There were flies everywhere, and loud music played even when nobody was at the bar. The manager seems amateur, and other one-star reviews describe what’s going on. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The place looks good, which makes it sad that I wouldn’t return if things stay this way. There was nobody watching children swimming, either at the pool or on the beach, which is ridiculous and unacceptable. The pool and seaside manager was impolite, unprofessional, and disrespectful. One person did make my ten minutes swimming at the beach enjoyable, thanks to his professionalism and kindness. Thank you, Fabris from CÔTE D’IVOIRE.
