A year later, I still remember Dar Tawarta so clearly and hope to return someday. If you want kindness, connection, and a place that feels like home, Dar Space Tawarta is it. The dinners were a highlight. Nora and her mother Francoise sat with us each evening, sharing stories and bringing travelers together around the table. With beautiful food and such warmth, it felt like a feast and created a real sense of community. The homemade tagines and breakfasts were all made with care and attention, and remain some of the best food I’ve had while travelling. Nora and Francoise have made a haven for people and animals. Nora rescues and cares for animals, which says a lot about the compassion she brings to everything. They looked after us just as thoughtfully, wanting us to enjoy our stay and helping guide us around Dakhla and beyond. Nora even took the trouble to suggest things for Chefchaouen, where I was heading next. That kind of care is rare. I’m writing this almost a year after my stay, but the memory hasn’t faded. Lots of love from India 🇮🇳❤️

Just 100m from the sea, this desert lodge has peacocks, birds, and dogs rescued from the streets. Françoise and Ari are loving hosts who care deeply about the place, its history, and its people, and they tell great stories. A lovely spot to disconnect from the world ❤️

I spent two nights here during a motorcycle trip. The place has a fantastic atmosphere, it’s peaceful and quiet, and the food made from produce in the garden was excellent. Highly recommended!

Nora and her mother made us feel at home right away. The dining tent is elegant and lively, the rooms are warm and cozy, and I loved the pets and the beautiful garden. The place feels like being in a movie. Please don’t change a thing, and I hope to be back soon.

I went there to kitesurf, and the school picked me up and dropped me off. Dar Tawarta feels like a little oasis, with cozy rooms and lots of outdoor corners around the guest house where you can relax, read, or spend time with the animals. Nora and Françoise are wonderful hosts, always offering good advice and making you feel safe. Everything is arranged with care, the staff are friendly, and the food and table setting are amazing. If you want to relax somewhere with a real local feel, where you can feel at home, don’t hesitate to stay here.
