The food was amazing, and everyone on the staff was super nice. The accommodation at Westpoint is great, right in front of the ocean, with great waves and hardly any surfers in the water. Two people really helped make the stay special. Hamouda is an amazing surf teacher, teaches really well, and is a very cool person. I highly recommend taking a few lessons with him. Mohammed, the event manager, is very cool too. We spent quite a bit of time with him, and he was always up for having fun.

The rooms were spacious, and the location was lovely, right by the beach with an ocean view. I had a small issue with my shuttle pickup, but Fadwa at reception did everything she could to make it right. Her customer service was exemplary, and the staff were really attentive.

The food was okay, with Dakhla’s distinct taste, and the facilities were safe and well maintained. I didn’t use the tour services, but the airport transfer was great. The hotel was just as advertised: I booked a sea-view bungalow, with the beach only a few steps away. The staff were amazing, friendly and organized, and everyone cared about the clients’ comfort.

The buffet was a real highlight, with live cooking and a different spread each day. The team were so kind and ready to help with anything. We had a few initial problems with the drifter, but after that it got us to the lagoon for wind sports without trouble. The grounds and pool are lovely, and our bungalow was very comfortable, though the bathroom fixtures showed a bit of rust from the seawater. Westpoint is the best holiday hotel I’ve stayed at. If surfing, wind sports, and good food are what you’re after, it covers all the bases. Thanks, Westpoint! Sophia and Fabian

I went for a week mainly to windsurf in Dakhla Bay, and it turned out to be a great experience. The price covered full board, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus the shuttle to the windsurf center 25 km away. My simple traditional hut had two double beds and a shower, and was comfortable enough for sleeping. The staff were kind and very helpful. Just keep in mind that agreed times can slip, once you accept that time is relative, the stay is amazing. I’d definitely return.
