Riad Star By Marrakech Riad

Mourad and Ali made our visit to Riad Star in Marrakesh feel incredibly special. We came last month for my birthday, and they surprised me with a cake that made the day feel so personal. They were kind, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable. The Riad was beautiful and peaceful, and the genuine hospitality made it feel like home. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. For a memorable stay in Marrakesh with heartfelt hospitality, I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

On my first trip to Morocco, Riad Star made a great impression. The rooms were clean and nice, and the rooftop was a lovely feature. WiFi was generally plenty fast. Mourad, Lahçen, and the rest of the staff were excellent hosts, always available on their personal WhatsApp numbers and happy to give recommendations. They also organized all the transportation we needed. Great stay!

We spent an exceptional week at Star Riad, and the room was beautiful with its Moroccan aesthetic. We chose to make the Riad a central part of our Moroccan adventure, and it didn’t disappoint. During the heat of the day we stayed in, drinking mint tea, then went out for dining and shopping in the evenings. I also had a private massage and hammam there, which I’d definitely recommend. The private experience was much better. Ali, the Riad manager, worked hard to look after guests from different cultures with different expectations. He was attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, and coordinated with staff whenever needed to keep things running smoothly. Mourad supported both guests and staff, and his management was clear during Ali’s days off. Thanks as well to the women who cooked breakfast and cleaned each day. The food was delicious, with a good variety, and the coffee was excellent. They greeted us with smiles and always asked if we’d slept well. We liked the mattress and slept well, though light sleepers might want earplugs. We travel with a small white noise machine and had no trouble with late arrivals or early risers. American travelers should know there are no face cloths, so bring your own if needed. This felt very different from an impersonal hotel or resort, and we’d recommend Star Riad and return when we come back to see more of Morocco. Not all Riads are created equal.
