Chrifi Gite Etape

After cycling through assif melloul, this lovely traditional house made the whole trip feel worthwhile. The people there welcomed me warmly, the place was clean, and there was even a hammam to shower in. Great food too.

The gite is simple, but very clean and has everything you might need. You may want to bring bottled water. Sidi Hammou and his family are lovely hosts, and the food is great. There are several beautiful, interesting hikes nearby, and Sidi Hammou can guide you too. He speaks French fluently.

We were welcomed with tea after a long, tough bicycle ride from Lac Tilsit near Imichil, and it felt like heaven. The owner warmed up the hamam for us. The beds, toilets, and showers were clean, with European-style toilets and toilet paper. Dinner was delicious and so generous that we fell asleep straight after eating. Breakfast was great as well. A note for anyone planning to ride from Anergui to LA Cathedrale des Roches: the middle stretch of gravel road is destroyed, so it can't be done by car or motorbike. By bicycle it's possible if you're prepared to push and lift it for about 10km. The canyon is incredibly beautiful and worth a long hike or an MTB ride.

The Middle Atlas Mountains are beautiful here, with fresh air and picturesque views. The people running the place are hospitable to guests and visitors, and serve delicious dishes.
