Essaouira youth Riad

The room looked nothing like the pictures online, and the place felt ugly and uncomfortable. There was a lot of random black hair on the pillow and around the toilet. I went to find the receptionist, but he'd disappeared; I sent a text and got no reply, so we left. So much for looking after guests. Definitely not worth the price.

Loved the social feel here, and the big courtyard is a nice spot to hang out. There's a large kitchen downstairs, too, and the new rooftop terrace looks great 😁. It's right in the old town, close to everything.

The rooftop was so cozy that we loved hanging out there, and the friendly, social feel made it easy to meet people. Simo (the host) was kind and helpful, which made us feel welcome. It was my first hostel stay, and I'm glad I tried it. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had hot water, and there's a kitchen if you want to cook for yourself.

I found the common areas cozy and a good place to meet other travelers. The rooms were comfortable and had what I needed to rest, and the hostel itself was clean. Right in the Medina, it was an easy walk to the souks, the beach, and everything else. The staff were warm and helpful, always smiling and happy to share local tips. The atmosphere was relaxed, with kind people and a local feel. I'd happily stay again.
