The riad was quiet and charming, with a peaceful, authentic feel that made it a nice place to unwind after a busy day out. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and tastefully decorated, and you can see the care in the details. The common areas were comfortable, and it felt like good value for money. I stayed five nights. The architecture is interesting, the location is good, and the service was mostly friendly. Breakfast was okay, though I found it better at other Essaouira riads in a similar price range. The room was extremely humid, enough to affect my breathing, especially on the first and second nights. During the five days, no one offered to clean the room. Toiletries were very basic, and I had to buy my own when they ran out. The terrace floor and other areas looked like they needed renovation, and the shower wasn’t working properly. It wasn’t bad, but I expected a bit more.

The rooftop terrace had a breathtaking view and was definitely the highlight. It’s a great place for a relaxed stay in Essaouira. The rooms were sparkling clean, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of coffee. The staff were friendly and let us check out later than usual, so we could leave our things at the riad for the afternoon.

For a very cheap place with friendly people, this is a decent budget riad in central Essaouira. Mohammed, your host, is a nice guy. The rooms look pretty in a traditional style, the Wi-Fi is stable and fast, and breakfast is standard for Morocco, but really okay for the price. There are a few things that can make the stay uncomfortable: the pillows are so hard you could fight off an intruder with them, the towels smell bad, and the shower hose is broken, flooding the bathroom after each shower. Still, it’s an inexpensive place with friendly people.
