Riad Zahra

The location was nice, and the staff were friendly. My room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom was fine, though pretty dark. It was clean enough, but I did spot ants crawling along the chair rail above the bed. Breakfast was decent and the Wi-Fi was weak in my room. Getting there was odd, since I had to cross the rooftop patio, and the soundproofing wasn't great. There was no AC, which is the main problem. It wasn't hot during my stay, so I got through the night, but it was humid, and AC would have helped with that. If you need air conditioning, I'd avoid this place. All in all, it was OK.

We had a great time and felt at ease here. The room was comfortable and clean, the pool was kept in great shape, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was tasty and generous, too. It's a great hotel right by the seafront promenade.

We had a very pleasant two nights at Riad Zahra, and the good things we'd heard about it all proved true. It's in a quiet, convenient area, with a wonderful walk along the beach promenade taking about 15-20 minutes to reach the Medina. The Riad has a lovely, almost magical atmosphere, with artisanate and works of art displayed throughout. Xavier, the owner, is an adorable man, and the whole team was kind, helpful, and lovely. Our room was roomy and comfortable, though a little renovation would improve it further. Still, it's a Riad I'd happily recommend.

The traditional Moroccan vintage feel comes through in the hotel's big central staircase and warm, cosy atmosphere. It really feels like home. Check-in and check-out were easy, and you're close to the Medina, the Kasbah, and the beach.
