Dar D'or Fes

Namir and Houria made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Their warmth was real, and the care showed in everything, from the spotless rooms and outstanding food to the way they welcomed us. We had to leave at 7:00 AM one morning, and they cheerfully prepared breakfast early without making an issue of the usual hours. We booked three rooms through our tour guide and stayed for two nights. The Dar is beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere and so much hospitality. During our 14 days in Morocco we stayed in eight hotels, Dars, Riads, and Kasbahs, and this was easily the best. Restaurants, the bazaar, and other things we needed were all within walking distance in the Medina. It was convenient, yet still felt peaceful and authentic. This was an unforgettable stay, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Morocco.

Breakfast really stood out. The owner personally made sure we had something hot to eat and drink each morning, a thoughtful and delicious start to the day. He was also so polite and made us feel safe and welcome from the minute we arrived. We loved the beautiful rooftop Suite Fatima, especially the comfortable bedding that gave us a great night's sleep. Highly recommend!

The owners were so kind and went out of their way to help us. The property has been renovated beautifully and with real care, and it was clean. We also had some of the best meals of our Morocco trip here. I'm so glad we found this place. Thank you, Namir! Hope we get to come back one day.

The people at Dar d'Or made this stay unforgettable. The host and staff went far beyond what we expected. We had to check out at 4:30am for an early flight, and they had a generous, carefully prepared breakfast to take with us, without us even asking. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. We'll return to Fez, and nowhere else even comes to mind for a place to stay. The riad has wonderful traditional Moroccan character and attention to detail throughout. Its spot at the edge of the medina let us feel part of Fez while still having peace and quiet. We loved it and will be back. Dar d'Or left us with goosebumps, in the best way.
