The WiFi was weak in our top-floor room, and the bandwidth was lacking throughout the place. The room was up four flights of treacherous stairs, but that added to the authentic riad feel. It was nicely decorated with local touches, and there was beautiful tile, wood, and plaster throughout. The shared areas were limited but comfortable, and our hosts were welcoming, if not especially warm. It's a great location in the heart of the Medina, not far from "The Blue Gate." A little hidden at first, but easy to get back to after that. A comfortable stay in an enjoyable city.

Michel and Katherine were fantastic, special people who kept an eye out for any problems and handled them promptly and with a smile. We felt safe, just like at home. The riad is fantastic too, right in the center of Medina, and its lovely courtyard is one of the wonders of the whole Medina. A wonderful place to discover the Medina. I'd definitely come back! 😀

Elodie, Cathy, and Michel were gracious hosts, full of good recommendations and always going above and beyond to make us comfortable. My family and I loved our four nights at Dar El Bali. We stayed in the Fatima Mernissi suite, which was spacious and perfect for three people. The Dar is gorgeous, with original tiles and doors and intricate ceilings. It's centrally located in the medina, a short walk from the Blue Gate. Highly recommend!

Edit 21.11.2024: As you can see below and in other reviews from a few years ago, the manager is trying to persuade me to delete my review. At the time I stayed there, the place was called Dar Elbalia, and it was my worst experience in Morocco. My exact Booking.com reservation was for 2.06-3.06.2018, and I still have the confirmation. If the owner, riad name, or appearance has changed, make a new Google profile and start fairly. I was there six years ago, and you can't deny that. My experience didn't disappear just because you changed things. Edit 2: Below Claire F's review, I now see the same manager claiming they opened the pensionat in 2012. That's all lies. I was there in 2018. I have a screenshot, so don't try to delete it. Edit 3: I don't care about your lies. This Google account used to be called Dar Elbalia, and that's easy to check. Fortunately, more and more people can see my opinion and how beautiful your approach to a client, and to another human in general, is.

A wonderful, unique place in Feś, run by a family who take great care of guests' safety, comfort, and needs. Mr Michael lent me a temporary charger adapter, as most plugs are for Moroccan sockets. They make fresh homemade breakfast, and the sunset from the rooftop is amazing. You'll need help finding the Dar the first time, so call them. They're always ready to help. Great value for money! 😍
