The room we got wasn’t the one we’d booked, and there was urine on the toilet. When we complained, they tried to move us to another place with a similar setup and lots of fake reviews. They said it wasn’t on booking.com because it was new, but it had apparently just been renamed after many bad reviews. We cancelled our reservation.

I had a very bad experience. I arrived late and was told my room wasn’t available. They asked me to come back the next day, but it still wasn’t ready when I returned. In the end, they put me in a different hotel that wasn’t officially open or listed on Booking, and it wasn’t what I had reserved or paid for. Staff also took my phone and changed the reservation dates themselves, apparently to prevent a bad review. That was unacceptable and unprofessional. I didn’t get the service I booked, and I can’t recommend this hotel.

We only stayed three nights, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Each morning brought a different breakfast menu with a lovely range of traditional Moroccan dishes. Dar Lalamoune is charmingly rustic, easy to find near the souk, and well located. Soufiane and Mohammed were attentive and incredibly helpful, sorting out daily activities, dinner bookings, transport, and more. I’d happily come back and highly recommend it.

We had an amazing stay, and our host was so kind and thoughtful. If you arrive late in the evening, have dinner here!

Muhammad is a wonderful, professional guy. It’s a great place, and I’d definitely visit again.
