Riad Adarissa

Haddou was always there to help us with whatever we needed. We had a wonderful stay in this lovely Riad, with a great location in the medina and easy access to anything we needed. I’d definitely recommend it!

Haddou met us outside the medina, helped with our luggage, and even got us sorted with SIM cards. He and the rest of the team made everything feel seamless, and we felt at home throughout our stay. A big thank you to Fatimzohra, Noureddine, Hanane, and Haddou. We booked a day trip to Chefchaouen through the riad. It was a great experience at a good price, and we felt reassured having it arranged for us. The staff also offered tours and trips without any pressure, so we could explore on our own. On arrival, we were welcomed with Moroccan mint tea and a map, plus helpful tips for getting around. The riad is beautiful, with lovely Moroccan decor and a terrace with breathtaking city views. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the home-cooked dinner made with fresh local ingredients was memorable. They even packed us breakfast for our day trip, although breakfast was already included in the Chefchaouen tour. Riad Adarissa is just off a main street, making it easy to find once someone shows you the way. It was quiet enough to feel like a peaceful break from the medina. Choosing it was one of our best trip decisions, and I’d highly recommend it.

Haddou was the reason our stay felt so special. He met us at the taxi and walked us through the medina to the riad, then kept anticipating what we needed and treating us like family. He even helped us haggle for a teapot. His wife cooks incredibly well, and we loved his son’s restaurant, Sodfa. The rest of the staff were lovely too. Fatima made beautiful breakfasts and kept our room very clean and organised. Nourredine knew a lot about the history and drew us a custom map based on what we wanted to see. The building is gorgeous inside, and the rooftop terrace is stunning. The riad is centrally placed in the medina but tucked down a quiet little alley, so we didn’t hear the medina in our room. We had an amazing time and I can’t recommend it enough.

I put quite a bit of time into researching places to stay in Fez before choosing this one. The staff were very friendly, the location was convenient, and it was well priced. I might stay again, though I’m not sure. Nothing was wrong with the place, but the photos and reviews had me expecting something a little fancier. It felt cramped, the decor could have been more tasteful, breakfast could have been nicer, and the place needed better maintenance.
