The roof was lovely, with birds visiting and drums in the background, and the terrace had a communal feel. The owner had renovated the house, and this hostel made me feel like I was visiting family. Sa'ida, the housekeeper, treated me like a sister. She kept my sheets clean, made my messy bed, and even folded my clothes. I was offered Tea (Berber whiskey) many times during my stay. The old building has smelly pipes, sure. I dealt with that by using incense and airing out the room shared by four people. The double and single rooms don’t have a bathroom odor. Thank you, friendly Fès!

The location and breakfast were 10/10, and the rooms seemed fine for the price. Just don’t expect luxury hotel rooms. The owner was humble and had an excellent attitude toward guests.

Cheap place with a nice breakfast, as long as gluten works for you. The street is dark at night, then turns into a busy market street during the day.
