The suite was spacious, the bathroom clean, and everything matched the photos. We slept really well in the comfortable bed with its comfy pillows. Breakfast was delicious and generous, served in the charming courtyard. Staff were attentive and kind from the start, welcoming us with coffee and cookies on the terrace. We arrived at 10 a.m., before the 2 p.m. check-in time, but they let us into our room early because it was ready. Thanks to the whole team for a very pleasant stay. If we return to Fez, we’ll definitely stay here again.

The rooms are nice and roomy, the bathrooms are a good size, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location was okay. But the bed made loud creaking noises whenever we moved at night, probably because it was old and loosely assembled, and kept waking us up. We could also clearly hear people in the neighboring room using the toilet, showering, and even blow-drying their hair late at night. Their bathroom was separated from ours only by a door covered with a bookshelf. Breakfast was very basic, just bread, eggs, and some marmalade, with no fresh fruit, cheese, or cold cuts. The lobby felt cold and depressing, more like a hospital than a welcoming riad. The worst part was the guide we were recommended, someone named Ali. About 60% of the tour involved visiting shops where we were pressured to buy things so he could earn commission, with very little time spent on Fez, its history, or culture.

The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were nice and accommodating. I had a Mezzanine room, but street traffic made it very noisy, and the shower head leaked all night. The bathroom floor needs to be redone, and the shower head replaced. Getting into the hotel in the evening can be difficult because staff are helping with dinner on the terrace, so expect to wait. They should give guests a front door key if there’s no 24-hour front desk.

Getting around was easy thanks to the convenient location. The staff were really accommodating and arranged a local guide for us, then checked in after the tour. The guide was great and never pressured us to buy anything at the workshops.
